The Société des Amis du Musée national de Céramique (Friends of the Sèvres Museum Society, FSMS) is set up to develop studies and knowledge in the domain of ceramics, in close partnership with the Musée national de la céramique in Sèvres, and to promote the public corporation “Cité de la céramique – Sèvres & Limoges“.
The Friends of the Sèvres Museum Society gather monthly to attend lectures (in French) followed by a convivial cocktail with the lecturer.
Visits to exhibitions, museums and historic sites, as well as regular study trips to numerous countries focused on ceramics and decorative arts, are organized for FSMS members.
In 2015, the Society launched courses devoted to the history of ceramics and the techniques involved.
The FSMS collaborates with other institutions for various events and seminars.
First published in 1992 by the FSMS, the yearly Sèvres magazine presents a selection of papers lavishly illustrated and has become a magazine of reference in the domain of ceramics and glass.
You are most welcome to join the FSMS and enjoy its numerous activities.
