lectures

The Friends of the Sèvres Museum Society gathers 7 times a year to listen to lectures (in French), followed by a cocktail to enable attending members to talk to the lecturers, in a convivial and informal manner. Highly attended, lectures also provide members with time and place to meet and exchange.

Over 160 personalities, museum curators, specialists and collectors have been invited as lecturers by the FSMS since 1985.
Invited persons and standard FSMS Members who did not subscribe to the lectures of the on-going year pay an entrance fee of €11 per conference (€16 for a couple).

Since April 2005, each lecture is recorded on a computer ; a DVD including video is then produced. Moreover, "Lectures illustrated reports" (« Comptes Rendus Illustrés » or "CRI") are available on CDs ; the first CD includes the reports of lectures from May 2005 to December 2006, and each of the following CDs corresponds to one year’s lectures. Those DVDs and CDs can be purchased. To place an order for lectures’ DVDs or CDs, please print and mail the relevant order form.
